Reading this book, it was difficult to imagine that the main characters were only 12 years old or so and that adults were fully helping these children without question,  or logic. The book wasn't bad but this was hard for me to look past. Also towards the end of the book when Vicki screams, (being vague as to not include spoilers) just seemed strange and as though more should have come from this moment. I feel like I might not have been the target age group and that may have lead to me not liking this book.
