I did not like Colin at all. He was dismissive, controlling, and hardly saw Penelope as a person before she starts singing his praises. He can't seem to fathom how she could possibly have a life outside of him, let alone secrets, despite their friendship being significantly less established compared to the show. People talked about how he was Colin 'my wife' Bridgerton. Where? When? In the last chapter or two? In the epilgues? He spent most of the book angry and absorbed in his own misery.
There was one sexy scene which feels lowkey fatphobic, and I was reading thinking I don't know how people say it is, there's hardly any mention of Penelope's weight. But how come my girly didn't get to feel desirable as often as the others?
