Frances Hardinge has to be one of the most original and ingenious authors writing at the moment. Every one of her books brings something new to the table and opens up whole new worlds and ideas that send the imagination spinning. 'Deeplight' is no exception. A world of islands and oceans and giant sea bound Gods, filled with high jinx, peril and friendship. Not since I read [b:Six of Crows|23437156|Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)|Leigh Bardugo|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1459349344l/23437156._SY75_.jpg|42077459] have I been so taken to a cast of characters and been so invested in the fate of them. I highly recommend this book to any fantasy readers, regardless of age and then go and try some more of this author, you will not be disappointed.
