Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult, Samantha van Leer
4.0
Loved this YA novel written by Jodi Picoult and her daughter! Although it's YA, it could be read by middle grade readers as there is nothing in the book other than some kissing. The story is every reader's fantasy. What if when you close the book, the characters are still alive and living out their own story? When a teenage girl reads a children's fairytale she finds in her school's library, she believes that the Prince, Oliver, can see her and talk with her. The story progresses as she and Oliver get closer and she tries to find a way for him to get out of the book and enter her world. But, is she really hearing him or is she just crazy? It's a creative fun story that anyone who's ever loved a character in a book will appreciate! Looking forward to reading the sequel to the book Off the Page. I listened to the audiobook version of this book and loved the two narrators!
