As a graphic novel adaptation & magical retelling of Persephone's myth, I would have liked more details to set the stage of the world and who she is, why she matters so much. I almost DNFed it, because I barely began to like her before she was taken. The book is short, though, and a unique retelling with a cute cat mage. Everything feels a little rush, but it's a decent introduction to some myths like Hades, the River Styx, Demeter, Persephone, Tartarus, and the Titans of old. The illustrations are reminiscent of Manga, which is explained by the creator having Japanese inspiration.
