I enjoyed the characters and setting of this book. I definitely enjoyed the premise. But I struggled with the plot. I found it moved too slowly for my liking and seemed inconsequential at times. As one storyline was wrapped up I was thinking - so will it end now? - and then another would start up again. This made it feel as though things were dragging on a little. That doesn’t negate the fact that I enjoyed the book itself. I might not have picked it up if I had of known it would move so slowly, but I’m glad that I have read this book all the same.
