Morally grey…..
I don’t really know how to describe this without spoilers. This is a dark fantasy with fated mates and humans and fae. Not perfect but definitely has legs and will continue to read on.

Estrella, has moxi and some great one liners, you see her choosing for herself even though at times those choices don’t seem like choices. She finds a way to honor her self and define her worth. At some point it looks like she’s abandoning that for a man, but she doesn’t, she questions and tries desperately to guard her heart against Caelum.

Caelum seems to good to be true and a little too perfect and this grated on me and for me he was a giant red flag 🚩I don’t like him, but he’s interesting and definitely hiding a hole heap of secrets.

As for the story…. Book 1 barely touches the surface of this world and it’s history and what happens now the veil is down.

While there were some bits that were predictable..,,, not quite to the extent they go but definitely worth continuing with.
