A well written memoir full of anecdotes, and emotion. Elliott Page details the turmoil and pain growing up knowing your body does not match your true self. His writing is heartfelt while also direct, recalling key moments and people in his life, family and celebrities alike.
I loved the audiobook because it was read by Page himself, and adds another emotional element to his writing. Listening to him describe how isolated he felt and the effects of body dysmorphia was heartbreaking. If you’re a fan of Elliott Page or interested in learning more about the struggles and inhumane treatment of trans and LGBTQ individuals, then grab this memoir!
