Ellen does it again!
I ended this book with teary eyes.

This books is controversial and I LOVE IT. So openly about religion; from both ends of the spectrum, sexual orientation, bullying in high school, gun control, and a few others.

Many themes in this book that should be topics of conversation.

Matt, I completely understood him. Not because I’ve gone through the same life experiences as he but because I was once a teen and felt similar pressure at times. Whoever found his character annoying, you have no sympathy for what others go through. Matt is the perfect example of ramifications of things happening around him and he living with guilt, which makes him grow as a person.

Loved Alexa, loved his mom’s character arc, loved Jessie and Quin, loved everyone who gave him clearance and support.

Favorite quotes:

“You know how they say revenge is best served cold? I’d say it’s best not served up at all. Revenge is a great motivator, but it doesn’t help achieve the desired results.”
