Don't Tell Meg by Paul J. Teague

4.0

I came across this book in a 12 book set on Amazon for just 99p! The reviews looked good and thought it to be an easy thriller read in between reads but I didn't expect to be completely absorbed in this story to the point all I thought about when I put my kindle down was picking it back up to carry on.

Pete Bailey is in a passionate 10 year relationship with the love of his life Meg, however things take a turn when Meg is struggling to conceive and the couple resort to IVF treatment in order to get pregnant. Sex turns into a chore and the spice is lost when time and time again Megs pregnancy test comes back negative.
Pete and his colleague are to attend a work weekend away where Pete meets TV presenter Ellie and decides what he needs to feel himself again is a lusty one-time affair with her. Only things are not that simple...
Meg turns up at the hotel where he is staying as a surprise for his 40th birthday only to be abducted by a long-time stalker psycho of Ellie's.
Pete soon realises that his infidelity has caused a chain of reaction that is going to change his life forever. Just don't tell Meg...
This book had me clinging onto the edge of my seat to find out the links between all of the characters involved, already I am so eager to find out how Pete and Megs story continues and whether they can remain together after the tragic events that take place.
This would be a 5 star read for me if I hadn't found some of it a little repetitive but all the same I was pleasantly surprised at how addictive this book was!
