I didn’t care about tennis going into this but by golly I did while I was reading it. Carrie Soto’s relationship with her dad was so special. Her arc was so well written - her origin story to her early career to retirement to I retirement. Knowing little to nothing about tennis going in I wasn’t sure if I’d even like this or not..but TJR’s writing is just too good. 

TLDR: I literally love everything Taylor Jenkins Reid writes and this is no exception.
