I’ve read this book so many times and I genuinely constantly think about it.
Maybe there are some issues with pacing, but they do not bother me in the slightest. Something about this book sits just right in my brain and I’m not complaining.
I love the world and the characters and the environment and the action. It’s just so good.
I love that Katsa doesn’t want to get married, and that the characters talk that through and come to an understanding. Proves that the typical route is not the only option and I think that’s a really cool thing to include.
Only thing is that I wish it wasn’t YA bc this would make for a great new adult fantasy, but I think Katsa and Bitterblue are good role models for young people.
Defs recommend reading, even if you don’t end up liking it, I think the grace system is fun and unique.
Anyways it’s 5 stars from me bc I have an emotional attachment and think about it quite frequently when thinking about fantasy.
