This book it terrible. Patterson and Paetro are determined to create an abomination that refuses to contain anything that comes close to resembling a satisfying narrative arc. Do not waste your time, you would have a more fulfilling life by watching paint dry instead of reading this book.

Claire is sidelined with no development whatsoever. Patterson and Paetro foreshadow a courtroom showdown for Yuki to take down Garza, and destroys it with the completely idiotic and nonsensical helicopter crash before the star witness is even cross examined. It appears that the authors simply has a page minimum to meet and simply wrapped the story up without any thoughts of finishing with a satisfying end. The fact that the serial killer and the cartel are completely unrelated is a baffling decision that I can not hope to understand. When Oscar Martinez from The Office said "This is the opposite of art", he was clearly using 25 Alive as the gold standard of anti art.

This book actively devalued the ink and paper this book was printed with. Fucking parking tickets are a better use of paper and ink than this book was. I can't think of one positive thing to say about this book.
