Miserable man strives to make everyone around him miserable as well.
Even though there’s nothing positive plot or character-wise, I really enjoyed the prose (especially the insults). I went into the novel not knowing the plot and believed at every turn that, like other novels of its time, would have some romantic ending. But it didn’t and I don’t mind that.
