Deadpool Volume 7: Axis by Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan

4.0

The last couple volumes of Deadpool have been a little trickier because they tie in to goings-on in the larger Marvel universe - events that I was not familiar with as I began this volume. However, putting aside the wider story and the events that have taken place between volumes, there is still a lot that works here. The concept is cool and the conflict of Deadpool's character continues to be handled effectively. Seriousness and humor fit side-by-side along with all the crazy happenings that are to be expected.
