Meant to Be by Tiffany Patterson
4.0
It's been a while since I read the first book but I remember not being a huge fan of the leading man...Josh however, aside from a few toxic thoughts regarding not using protection, was a pretty great guy.
I was a little worried going in how this story would unfold...knowing that he was her, now passed, BFF's bf, but I really love how Tiffany wrote this story. You could see, based on flashbacks, how the three loved each other and how Kay never once acted on her crush on him...and then the guilt she felt when she did, after her friends passing...and then there's a 7 year gap before they meet again...giving plenty of time for them to each grieve and actually be able to give each other a chance. If they'd immediately jumped into a relationship after Chelsea's passing...welp I probably would have dnf'd 😅
Overall I did love the story, I do think the demon's Kay was fighting felt rushed at the end, after a big chunk of the book mostly ignoring they were there...however it all lead to a happy ending and will have you wanting to reread that first chapter after you finish the book ðŸ¤
