Good gawd. This book. Wow. I am horrified and heartbroken. I am also filled with hope and wishing for the strength of our better angels to bring us through this shit. This book is not easy. It is really hard to read. It’s gritty and real and awful in so many ways. But I couldn’t put it down toward the end. And I believe it is a very necessary read for this generation. Don’t know that it’ll happen, but it should. I’ll recommend it to those who can handle the intensity, the truth of this book. It’s completely brilliant.
