Holy mother of Gay.
I love this series so much, I'd heard a lot of mixed reviews of the sequel and it scared me, to be honest. I loved the first book so much, it's richness of world building and the fun and lively cast of characters but I honestly don't think Brigid let me down with this sequel at all. Lia Mara was an incredibly strong and intelligent character who showed a lot of vulnerability, which I think Brigid does well in her novels. I loved the budding relationships between Lia Mara and Grey and while this book did lack Harper (I will do anything for that Queen) I don't think it took anything away from what I'm imaging an insane conclusion.
