I checked this out for my daughter, but the cover blurb so intrigued me that I read it first. This book is about sixth graders, and there isn't a lot of adult blah-blah-blah here. Stead uses just enough words to tell her terrific story and to throw in some big ideas about friendship, family and the importance of looking out for fellow humans. The plot includes a good time-travel puzzle but doesn't really cross the line into science fiction.
