Awesome fantasy story, with eerie shifts between the reality we know and that ... those ... other ones.
Also, the description of a nice, sensitive, somewhat overcautious, and very obediant boy, is beautiful and convincing. I loved getting to know him and also loved what I suppose is the beginning of his change.
YM&WCA must be a disappointment for the poor kid, who reads this and goes straight to the local department to get themselves in on the action. No magic beetles? No thunderclap? :'(
