A brilliant addition to Cixin's "Three Body Problem", the story continues with the Wallfacers and their attempts to save humanity. It engages well with scientific research and theories of alien civilisation (hence the name). It also provides an excellent insight into humanity at both its most optimistic and its least, with some very dark moments. As can happen with time skips, some parts of the narrative can feel forgotten or rushed over, but this does not detract from an engaging plot and credible set of characters.
