This book is dark. Like really, really, really dark.
This book was beautifully written (and the drawings are grotesque and lovely). It honestly felt like a darker version of Bridge to Terabithia, which was my absolute favorite as a child.
As I've mentioned before, I'm not the biggest fan of YA books. The way the characters are written is generally too angsty for my taste, and no offense, but Andrew is pure angst through and through.
