Rectify by Marley Valentine is book 3 in the Redemption series. It's a contemporary romance series and Rectify focuses on Sasha and her daughter Dakota, Jay and his daughter Lily and Jay and Sasha's relationship with each other.
It took me a while to warm up to these characters but I could appreciate their journeys in the end.
It does pull on some emotional heartstrings and there is tonnes of angst and sexual tension/chemistry.
