This volume of comics from the New Mutants was funny and generally enjoyable, but it felt like fluff. Nothing against Hickman's writing. Felt throwaway at times. Magik's characterisation seemed off to me at points. Maybe I'm just not as familiar with her as I thought. Either way I prefer her as serious but quirky.
