i think if i had read this before dazai’s novel, I would feel differently, but I truly loved this version of “No Longer Human.” maybe I just like pictures, but I really felt like through this story, I could better understand the struggles Oba was going through, struggling with his various addictions and lack of appreciation for life.
I especially loved the end of the story, how they brought in a character of Dazai and showed how their bond in the hospital helped both of the characters’ recoveries.
