Loot: How to Steal a Fortune by Jude Watson

3.0

Another book that I picked up for my nephews thinking this would be a funny read. I found myself not laughing and at times bored. I was not in love with this book but I also did not hate it. I was just middle of the road coasting along for the ride. Another reader said that the story was improbable. I agree with this comment. While I liked the kids and that they took up where March's father left off with cat burglaring, I just felt that it was not too believable. Kids breaking and entering into places and situations that is very tricky even for skilled adults without being caught is over the top. Also, I felt that the kids were more grown up then their actual ages. So on this note, I would say that this book would be better read for the older kids like twelve. Although, Loot is a charming read.
