FINALLY got around to reading this and i honestly don’t think i was disappointed! the only thing was that it just… wasn’t… enough (?) for me? as in not enough plot twists or depth to the actual storyline. a lot of books that gained popularity on tiktok are often just basic ya romances, or maybe tiktok just gave me very high expectations when going into it. regardless, all the embellishments and detailing that went into the writing style gave me LIFE (book reference ofc), especially in how when miles fell back into love and realised that love with all the ugly parts were okay, the writing cascaded down the centre of the page, just like how they did the first time he met rachel. and just like how it stopped for a while after the accident. that small detail made the book and the entire reading experience much better . oh, also! i was fucking waiting for a present day miles pov for forever and a half and i’m so glad it was included in such a perfect way at the end. another thing i really enjoyed were all the tropes that i love that were included; alternating timelines, dual pov, brothers best friend, friends with benefits to lovers, etc. of course the book could have been a bit better personally, but it was good enough that i was able to read it not just in one day, but in one sitting :)
Graphic: Child death, Sexual content, and Car accident
Minor: Sexual harassment
