Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson

4.0

Another Brooklyn is a lyrical prose that moves back and forth through time and space as a woman recounts her coming-of-age in 1970s Brooklyn through fragmented memories that reveal the ways in which her father, brother, friends, community and, most of all, herself navigate and cope with the turns of life. Jacqueline Woodson is something else with that pen.
