This was alright, but in the end, not really for me. This story had the potential to be something I would really like, since I'm a sucker for bip-bopping timelines, and this book drastically changes time and place (century and country, even) with every chapter! But this great potential setting is really only used as set dressing for the characters' relationship, instead of providing cool plot elements. The two main characters are very much YA-standard love interest types (much yearning and angst), although you do wonder if at least one of the characters would grow out of that after a few lifetimes! The story does have similar vibes to This is How You Lose the Time War (but not even slightly similar plots), so fans of that book may appreciate this one, and those who hate that book should probably steer clear.
