Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie
2.0

Christie was building up to something great, but then it all collapsed.

The investigation, normally extremely thrilling, was sluggish. The grand showing was a bit too confusing.

The high point of this case was the characters, who were very realistic. Is it merely a coincidence that whenever her characters are deep, her mystery seemingly complex, the ending is a letdown? She spent more time on the characters than the mystery.
