I was really drawn to this book from the cover and description. However I really struggled to get through it. I didn’t connect with any of the characters and was completely put off by the simple conflict resolution. Everything seemed to work on in Lore’s favour repeatedly with very little cost, making me hope particularly care for any twists as I knew they’d all be resolved pretty quick and easily.
