This book was so much better than I thought it was going to be in the first few pages. After 50 or so pages I was sold and it was so hard to put the book down.
And to be fair part of the reason I had a bit of trouble getting into it, was the culture shock of turning from a string of fantasy books to this contemporary romance, a genre I also rarely read and never in English.

But this book was just so good that I quickly forgot about that and got immersed by the story. It was excellent in showing the complexities of all characters, there is not a single completely good or completely bad character in the book. They all do bad things and yet you keep rooting for the protagonists. You’re happy when things go right, you get mad at their behalf and I got very sad at some points.

I just want to wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone, because I loved it and I might actually buy it for myself as I got this copy from the library (but maybe in Dutch this time ;)).
