I had to read this book for English, and it was so good. I had read most of John Donne's sonnets that were referenced in it, and it made the reading so much better. It is the perfect play to ponder mortality and what it does to a person. I also thought Vivian's character was fascinating and watching her go through these changes and seeing what was left of her after everything she goes through before she dies, is a revealing look at humanity. I'm confident that a lot of the more important details of this play went over my head, but that will be resolved in a class discussion. I also think it would add to the experience if I were to watch the play.
