Archangel's Kiss by Nalini Singh

4.0

Definitely liked this book better then Angels' Blood, the first in the series! That kinda surprises me because for much of the book I felt like I was waiting for something to happen.

There is a lot of time spent on Elena's transformation and training to prepare herself for Lijuan's ball. I found myself more then halfway through and STILL they hadn't even LEFT to attend this freaking thing! I will say that once they make the trek to China for the shindig...shit gets REAL. Phenomenal ending! Really sucked me in and built on everything that came before it.

I think the strongest aspect of this story and really, what made me fine with so much build-up was Raphael. SO MUCH HIM. He has grown on me like the sexiest kind of moss in existence. I love the interaction between Elena and Raphael. I love how they are grown up and accepting of their love and relationship. No big Mis, no "I don't need you to do things!", just love and devotion and sexy times.

Excited to keep on with this series and interested to find out more about every single character in this world.
