Why Fish Don't Exist: A Story of Loss, Love, and the Hidden Order of Life by Lulu Miller

There were some interesting and well-written chapters, but I felt a little whiplash from the divergent focus. At times a biographical sketch of Jordan, a treatise on eugenics in the US, a geekout on fish taxonomy, and probably most importantly for the author, a memoir of healing and discovery.
