Did not grab my attention as well as book 1, but still absolutely amazing. It was just a little slow at times, and a little too long. With the length it was, I felt like we should’ve been able to dive more deeply into a few of the plot points. But overall between book 1 and two the world building and character development is truly amazing.
I loved Reading Oraya processing her trauma and complicated relationship with both her father and raihn
I loved that not every decision she makes is smart or successful, it makes the characters feel more Real
I do wish this was a trilogy not a duet, so we could get more info on some of the plot points, but at the same time I think those topics should’ve been explored in this book as I do think the ending was fitting for these characters
I am excited to see what new characters come out of this world in future novels
