The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary

i quite literally cried my way through this book. the timeline is reminiscent of emily henry's people we meet on vacation and i loved it. the frustration, the anticipation to find out what finally ended this relationship when we knew it wasn't the best in the first place. this is not a light-hearted romance, it's a second chance romance and it feels like one. they met in a whirlwind on a summer vacation and got caught up in it. someone said it was posh people making bad choices and while i agree with it why does it have to sound like a bad thing, especially since more of us can relate to addie in the sense of she has either posher friends and can be ashamed of where she lives or the type of work she will do, insecurities we've probably all felt but that's also not the heart of the story. the heart of the story is in a mini. and i couldn't be more overthe moon about it. the changes that are pointed out in both the before and the now, not always right after the other but just far enough to remeber the other had metioned it. absolutely loved this book. i skipped a tutorial to finish it. oops.
