Rounded up 4.5 rating - I own only audiobook of this and it is 27 hours long!! - at times when even it felt long or slow, it all seemed important, a characteristic Murakami is expert at. I deeply enjoyed the characters and trickling plot, the ever present unfolding of when reality and magical meet. I would recommend for those familiar or wanting a story placed in Japan in the late aughts about compelling characters and a plot that relies on determining what one believes is truth or facts and what may not be as it seems.

Also a side note, I highly enjoyed the voice actor who read this book - Kirby Heybourn. 10/10 voice for this story!
