I vibed with this book waaay more than the first in the series. 'Cruel Prince' was good at setting up the situation and a basis for the story to evolve. I had a good time listening to it. But the 'Wicked King' though?? Was on an other level for me!
Shit was happening, Jude is unhinged and I love her for it. I like a flawed, but unapologetic FMC who gets her own way and takes no bullshit. Cardan is kind of a dick but in a way that romantic interests would look at him and think "I can change him". Dangerous if you ask me. Or Jude. She would have a few things to say I bet.
I had such a good time with this book, especially listening to it! Was it perfect? No. But it made me feel shocked, nervous & frustrated many times and I always love when a book can make me physically feel something.
