I just wanted this nightmare to end, I couldn’t put this book down. I simply had to know, I kept putting myself in her shoes , the empathy and heart stopping moments shook my very core with some heart in my mouth moments too. Tess is great at capturing the very essence of real heartfelt emotion, along with frustration and pain in equal measure. I loved the ballsy main characters , they were so different with that one common thread driving them to find the absolute truth. From their first antagonistic meeting these women would stop at nothing . One a journalist the other a mother. The ending although a little far fetched brought me real comfort from a mother and daughters point of view. , 4 stars due the sometimes unnecessary over thought out red herrings and similarities with the Madie McCanns case, but overall a fantastic story.
