This was my first Pam Godwin book and wow does she have a way with words! Her writing is so visceral and immediately sucks you in to the feelings abs world of the characters.
No spoilers but this book is not for someone who likes traditional romance. It’s evocative, goes against “norms”…. Much like pirates! I for one absolutely loved it! I wish I could read it again for the first time! And I will never hear the word “priest” the same way again ;)
