I'm glad I finally revisited this particular childhood favorite! I may be a bit less enthralled with the descriptions of life surviving off the land (and slightly more confused by Pa's hesitancy to shoot wild animals for food) but I still found it a very pleasant and enjoyable read. I loved the whole part about the maple syrup party especially!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book for readers of any age!
