Ever wanted to better understand how patriarchy hurts men? Or how feminism helps men and women? Then this is the book for you!!
I loved listening to the audio book version of this book, but I'm definitely going to buy this book and preform a more close reading. There is so much to unpack in this book.
I have always struggled with imagining what a society would look like if it were not under the heel of patriarchy, and I knew that if I couldn't visualize it then it would be hard to create that world or fight that patriarchy. This book helped me finally grasp just what patriarchy is at its core because it painted non patriarchal manhood.
This book is an excellent feminist handbook and study guide that I think everyone should read!
Also, a passing thought that I had while reading: if people follow through with gentle parenting into a child's adolescents, that could be one of the best ways to fight patriarchy!
