I got into women's soccer this year because of the world cup and seeing this book was being released in the middle of my newfound obsession OF COURSE I had to read it as soon as it came out, specially since a lot of people were positively talking about it and I was obsessed with Mistakes Were Made, so a soccer romance from Meryl Wilsner sounded like heaven to me.

I don't wanna say I'm disappointed cause I'm not, but I think I was expecting more(? from it, or at least something different(? I don't know if I'm making sense. Also, there's a couple things that were not of my liking and gave me a bit of an ick but those are probably just me.

Anyway, this was still an entertaining read like I could not stop reading!! the adhd representation was good and it scared me how much I could relate to phoebe. it has enough soccer but since I'm obsessed with the sport I still wish we could've gotten more 😅 specially cause the epilogue felt a bit underwhelming considering the world cup was heavily mentioned throughout the whole book but it was just like three pages in the end
