lassie90 's review for:
Sycamore Row
by John Grisham
I liked the ending of this book, which is the reason I gave it 3 stars. Had it been half as long, it would have been a much more interesting read.
Grisham went into long, boring chapters about things that really didn't even matter. Take for instance, Jake and his wife being offered a house. It was set up like there was some nefarious plan behind it being offered to them during this trial. We see Jake talk to the judge about it and the judge warns him not to make such a big purchase during the trial. Jake and his wife go over for dinner with the owner and have multiple conversations about it. But, no, there was no nefarious plan. They were just getting a new houseā¦.50 pages down.
All in all, a disappointing sequel to A Time To Kill.
