The end of this had me sobbing 😭 Such an emotional journey on the pain of getting older, both physically and emotionally. Losing independence can be embarrassing, depressing, and shocking and I think the author displayed the mixture of contempt, resentment, and acceptance when you know your time comes to an end. I think people forget that old people are human who have been weighed down by the difficulties of life, but they deserve to be heard,seen, and given dignity.
