Miss Phryne Fisher Investigates by Kerry Greenwood

4.0

Greenwood portrays the last chapter really well, I could definitely feel the cheerful atmosphere after Phryne solves the crime and the splendidness of the 1920s ambience in the room.
It might be because the book is the first book of the series, the description of Phryne seems to be a little bit stiff. I can tell that the author wants to create an independent female character as the heroine, but it somehow makes me feel forced with all the glorious descriptions of the personality; instead, I would like to read more details of Phryne's garment, though!
Overall, all of the main characters are delightful and lovable.
