A dark, elegiac look at a classic superhero and the world he wishes to protect. Miller's materpiece, no question, and belongs in the same hallowed halls as Moore's Watchmen, and a definite must for all Batman fans, especially if you've only seen the movies or the spectacular Animated Series.
