Finally it’s time to know more about Cope as he returns to Sparrow Falls.   From the moment he met Sutton there was instant connection. 

 

I adored how Sutton showed him that he doesn’t need to carry all the guilt and pain around with hm anymore.  That he wasn’t responsible and that is ok.  

 

At the same time, Cope showed Sutton that asking for help is sometimes 100% worth the risk.  Together they create their own safe space.  They support one another, are able to be vulnerable and heal the broken parts within themselves.  

 

Cope and Sutton create such a wonderful little family unit.  The way Cope shows up for Sutton and Luca is just beautiful. 

 

The side characters are some of the stand outs particularly in this book.  Whether that is family members old and new or friends along the way - they made me laugh, cry and beg for more.  Plus the suspense was top notched - shout out to Lolli as always was top tier!
