Maybe this shouldn't have been my first Jane Austen book. And maybe my first should have been my choice and not a book club's. But this was my first Jane Austen book and I kept falling asleep lol. There are funny moments where Anne (and honestly Jane) is sarcastic and sassy about her family and other people around her - those are the best moments of the book. But for the most part, I didn't really care about what was happening in the overall plot.
